Every Spring and Summer Critter Care is inundated with babies from all species. 

 

Baby season is a very special time for us at Critter Care. We rehabilitate thousands of animals each year and spend upwards of $50,000 USD on species specific milk formula alone. We also vaccinate all animals throughout the entire rehabilitation. It takes months to get prepared as we build up our supplies in attempts to get us through the coming months.   

 

 

As the animals start to grow their needs start to change, this is when it starts to get expensive as we need to ensure we have enough incubators. Each animal receives its own bottle, and as you could imagine these bottles don't last very long and get replaced frequently. As the animals grow their diets start to change from formula to meats and or produce. We receive donations of some of these items however, we can never get enough.
