Areas of constant need include:
Whether you are a gopher or a team leader we need you in all areas of fundraising!
Animal capture is not for the faint of heart, you will be rescuing animals in distress and the can be quite aggressive at times. We'll train you how to handle certain animals however you ultimately have the final say which animals you feel comfortable handling. You will need to purchase you own equipment such as bite gloves and a catch pole/net, we'll provide you with a kennel.
Cleaning cages, laundry, food prep, washing dishes, washing animal carriers, disposing of garbage.
*Please note: There is limited or no contact with animals in these positions and the jobs are often dirty and smelly! We feed dead chicks and rabbits to our carnivores and you must be comfortable with the handling of these to work in food prep.
We are in constant need of people to help cut the grass and remove weeds. We provide all equipment such as mowers and weed whackers.
Donations of native deciduous trees, coniferous trees and native flowers are always appreciated.
Whether you are a local debutante or an international star, we need your support either through a voluntary appearance or a donation of memorabilia. Contact us today!
As a transporter you get to select the areas you would like to service, we rescue all over Southern British Columbia. You will need to provide your own vehicle and will be given a tax receipt at the end of the year for your mileage. You would only be transporting animals you approve and they will be contained and ready for you.
As a result of human encroachment on Wildlife and the wear and tear from the volume of animals we see each year Critter Care is in perpetual growth mode, building new cages, plumbing new cages, repairing and replacing old ones, remodeling and enhancing our examination facilities as well as general maintenance to the physical plant on the whole. If you can use a paint brush or swing a hammer come see us we have something for you to do!
