COVID-19 Protocols Updated Sept 5th, 2021

 

Essential personnel are required to undergo screening every morning when coming onsite, including a temperature check and a questionnaire.

 

  • Masks are mandatory in all public places indoors.
  • Members of the public are to call the triage number when they arrive on the property with a      donation or a injury/ orphaned animal. Where they will be met by a staff member/intern. Crates/carriers/etc. are to be placed on the ground before the person steps back and allows our team member to collect the item, always ensuring physical distancing of at least 6ft or 2m.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided for use before and after filling in forms or and the tables and forms are regularly sanitized during business hours.
  • During the hours of 9am and 7pm every day common surfaces including door handles, taps, stair railings, phones, fridge handles and so on are to be disinfected frequently throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided at numerous stations throughout site and refilled as needed.
  • Anyone who feels any symptoms of being unwell is asked to let a staff member know and not return to site until their symptoms are clear and a negative COVID test result has been achieved if requested by their doctor. This applies to staff members also.
  • An intern may be refused if it is determined they have not properly isolated.

     

Critter Care Wildlife Society follows all current policies advised by British Columbia.


If an intern/ volunteer or co-op is feeling ill, they must tell staff ASAP, and begin self isolation with all other intern in the same cabin. They are advised to be tested straight away, (testing station in Langley) and await further instruction.
