Meet Hickory, a gentle black bear cub who captured the hearts of everyone at Critter Care Wildlife Society. Hickory’s story began when he arrived at our facility, in need of care and rehabilitation.
I thought it'd be brilliant to go abroad, so not only would I be working with animals, but I'd be in another country as well. I thought it'd be a really good experience and Critter Care offered one thing that a lot of places in the UK don't offer, which is hands-on training.
Southern British Columbia is home to some of the most remarkable wildlife in Canada, including the iconic black bear. These gentle giants roam the forests, mountains, and valleys of this region, playing an essential role in the local ecosystem.
